Privacy policy

With this privacy policy, we provide information about the personal data we process in connection with our activities and operations, including our website www.prema.ch. In particular, we inform you about what personal data we process, how and where, as well as the rights of persons whose data we process.

1. Contact addresses

Responsibility for the processing of personal data:

Riccardo Semadeni
PREMA Cash Handling Systems
Tychbodenstrasse 9
4665 Oftringen
info@prema.ch

In individual cases, there may be other controllers for the processing of personal data or joint responsibility with at least one other controller.

2. Terminology and legal basis

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A data subject is a person about whom we process personal data. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, such as collecting, storing, modifying, disclosing, archiving, deleting and using personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law, in particular the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO).

3. Nature, scope and purpose

We process the personal data required to carry out our activities and operations in a permanent, user-friendly, secure and reliable manner. Such personal data may in particular fall into the categories of master and contact data, browser and device data, content data, meta or marginal data and usage data, location data, sales data, as well as contract and payment data.

We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose or as required by law. Personal data whose processing is no longer required will be anonymised or deleted.

We may have personal data processed by third parties, process it together with third parties or transmit it to third parties. Such third parties are in particular specialised providers whose services we use. We also guarantee data protection for such third parties.

As a rule, we only process personal data with the consent of the data subjects. If processing is permissible for other legal reasons, we may refrain from obtaining consent, for example to fulfil a contract, to comply with legal obligations or to protect overriding interests.

4. Communication

We process personal data in order to be able to communicate with third parties. In this context, we process in particular data that a data subject transmits when contacting us, for example by post or email. We may store such data in an address book or with comparable tools.

Third parties who transmit data about other persons are obliged to guarantee data protection for such data subjects.

5. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure data security appropriate to the respective risk. In doing so, we guarantee in particular the confidentiality, availability, traceability and integrity of the processed personal data, without however being able to guarantee absolute data security.

Access to our website is via transport encryption (SSL / TLS, in particular HTTPS).

6. Personal data abroad

As a matter of principle, we process personal data in Switzerland. However, we may also disclose or export personal data to other states, in particular for processing there or to have it processed there, provided that the law there guarantees adequate data protection according to the decision of the Swiss Federal Council.

We may disclose personal data to states whose law does not guarantee adequate data protection, provided that appropriate data protection is guaranteed for other reasons, for example by standard data protection clauses or other appropriate guarantees. We will be happy to provide information about any guarantees upon request.

7. Rights of data subjects

We grant data subjects all claims in accordance with the applicable data protection law. Data subjects have the following rights in particular:

  • Information: Data subjects can request information as to whether and what personal data we process about them.
  • Correction and restriction: Data subjects can correct incorrect personal data, complete incomplete data and have processing restricted.
  • Deletion and objection: Data subjects can have personal data deleted and object to the processing of their data with effect for the future.
  • Data disclosure and data transfer: Data subjects can request the disclosure or transfer of their data to another controller.

We may postpone, restrict or refuse the exercise of these rights within the legally permissible framework, for example by referring to business secrets, the protection of other persons or legal retention obligations.

Data subjects have the right to enforce their data protection claims through legal channels or to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
